It's Time For...

So, we're almost two months into 2010, and I have to say that my year is going pretty well. I've been enjoying lots of time with friends, both near and far; am now finding myself in the middle of the application process for grad school; and for the first time, in a long time, have just been feeling happier in general.
Though my weekdays are jam packed ..work all day followed by afternoons with Madeleine ending with nightly trips to the gym (yes, I've gotten back into the routine, and couldn't be happier about it!), I'm still finding myself to be energized, at peace, and content.
Some of that may have to do with the fact that I was pretty happy to see 2009 end. I'd experienced negative situations with friends, while completely losing other friendships all together. In a word, the year had been more "ICK" than good. Needless to say, I'm happy for the change of energies and am optimistic about keeping things steady on this track-of-positivity.

"10 Things I'd Love to Tell My Younger Self"
- You are at least 10 times prettier than you think you are.
- The only thing you should be faking is confidence.
- Want to try something new like painting, skiing, yoga? Go to the library and borrow 10 different books on the subject.
- No matter how old you get, remember what it was like to be a nine-year old girl.
- In the same vein, flowers — freshly cut or potted — are never a waste of money.
- Speaking of money, starting right this moment, whether you’re 20 or 60, you can change your finances around.
- If your stomach hurts and you haven’t got a virus, you’re in a bad situation.
- When meeting someone new and he or she seems to be behaving like a jerk, show compassion first.
- Wear sunscreen on your face, neck, and hands every day — winter and summer.
- And if you are in bed with a man, and he’s the right man… meaning your stomach doesn’t hurt, he’s smiling at you, he knows your name, he’s not drunk, and neither are you—for godsakes—enjoy yourself.
It's Relay Time Again...!!!
Family & Friends,
This year, I am once again taking part in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, the largest cancer-fighting movement in the world, and I am hoping you will support me!
Each of us have our own reasons for caring about the fight against cancer. Whatever your reasons, I hope you'll choose to support me by making a donation to the American Cancer Society. You can do it online on my personal page, or you can print an offline donation form if you'd prefer to write a check. Also, feel free to join my team and come out to see what Relay For Life is all about! I promise you a life-changing experience at the very least :)
Thank you in advance for your support!
